Dr. Colleen Coleman of Outlook Eyecare Named 2020 NJ Top Doc

Board certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Colleen Coleman specializes in glaucoma treatments. Dr. Coleman is an experienced cataract surgeon and currently practices at Outlook Eyecare in Middlesex County. 

“Forming long-term relationships with glaucoma patients and helping maintain the quality of their lives are some of the most rewarding parts of being an ophthalmologist,” Dr. Coleman says.

After earning her medical degree from Wayne State University in Michigan, Dr. Coleman completed an ophthalmology residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. There, she served as chief resident in her final year. Following her residency, Dr. Coleman completed advanced training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and a fellowship in treating glaucoma.

“During medical school, I chose an ophthalmology elective course and fell in love with it. I love the combination of surgery and patient care in the office. I tend to be a detail oriented person and found that ophthalmology fit well with that part of my personality,” she adds.
