Rekha Gohel, MD of Elite Medical Care Named 2021 NJ Top Doc

Dr. Gohel provides high quality compassionate care to all patients and specializes in treating Alzheimer’s disease. She was involved in IDEAS study – which is a major research study to demonstrate value of PET scans in Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis.

She also has extensive experience providing diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive medical services to the geriatric population. Dr. Rekha Gohel takes care of patients in office, hospital, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities.

“The role of geriatrician is to coordinate overall care with other physicians and guide the patient in making best treatment choices,” says Dr. Gohel.

Currently, Dr. Gohel is the medical director of the Jewish Home for Rehabilitation & Nursing in Freehold and services as the medical director of Hospice and Palliative Care of the VNA Health Group of NJ. She has also worked as Geriatric Faculty for Internal Medicine Residency Program at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.
