Hematology and Medical Oncology Specialist, Dr. Michelle A. Cholankeril Named NJ Top Doc 

NJ Top Doc, Michelle A. Cholankeril, M.D. is a member of the Hematology and Medical Oncology Department at Trinitas Comprehensive Cancer Center. She is currently the division chief of medical oncology as well as the head of the Breast Program Leadership (BPL) at the cancer center. She has been published extensively in medical literature and continues to be a site lead investigator in national studies, in association with CINJ-New Brunswick. She is also teaching staff for the residency program, as well as for the medical students completing clinical rotations at Trinitas Medical Center.

Dr. Cholankeril received her undergraduate degree in medicine and surgery at the Sri Ramachandra Medical Center and Research Institute in India. She completed her residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey’s Department of Medicine and ultimately achieved the post of Chief Resident. She then completed a hematology and medical oncology fellowship at the now NorthWell Healthcare System in Long Island, where she was chief fellow of her program.

Currently, Dr. Cholankeril is triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology. She has a special interest in Breast Oncology, Gynecological Oncology, and Gastrointestinal Oncology. She is well rounded and keeps her leadership projects, teaching, research and patient care all top priorities.
