Dr. Teddy Atik, NJ Top Doc, is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery and has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery. Dr. Atik trained at prestigious schools such as NYU Medical School and completed his fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery at Allegheny General Hospital. Dr. Atik holds memberships from the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Association for Hand Surgery, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the New York Hand Society, the Philadelphia Hand Society, the Eastern Orthopaedic Association, the Steel City Hand Club, the Medical Society of New Jersey and the American Medical Association.
Doctor Atik takes emergency hand calls at four hospitals in Monmouth and Ocean Counties: Jersey Shore Medical Center, Monmouth Medical Center, Centrastate Medical Center, and Community Medical Center. He also works at four state of the art ambulatory care centers where he performs same day surgery. They are conveniently located throughout central New Jersey. His practice is available on call along with his four partners 24 hours a day 7 days a week. There is also a Hand Rehabilitation Unit in each of his three offices offering hand therapy and rehabilitation services.
Dr. Atik’s practice is limited to problems of the hand, wrist, forearm and elbow and microsurgery. He specializes in minimally invasive procedures such as Single Incision Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Surgery, Endoscopic Cubital Tunnel Release, Trigger Finger release, Xiaflex injections and Needle Aponeurotomy for Dupuytren’s Contracture (he is one of seven surgeons in the US that received the training in France from Doctor Lermusiaux who invented the procedure), Arthroscopic Wrist Surgery and Small Incision Fixation of Hand and Wrist Fractures.
