To further develop his expertise, he pursued a fellowship in orthopedic trauma and joint reconstruction at the University of Toronto, gaining specialized training in the treatment of complex injuries and reconstructive procedures.
Today, Dr. Schenk serves as Director of Orthopedic Trauma at Morristown Medical Center and Managing Director of Atlantic Orthopaedic Associates. His work involves treating patients with challenging orthopedic conditions, with a focus on restoring function and helping individuals move forward after serious injuries. He previously served as Vice Chairman of the Department of Orthopedics at Morristown Medical Center and remains actively involved in advancing orthopedic care throughout New Jersey.
Beyond his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Schenk is passionate about sharing his knowledge with the next generation of orthopedic surgeons. Through his work training orthopedic residents, he helps prepare future physicians to manage complex trauma cases and develop the skills needed to provide effective surgical care. He also serves on the Board of the New Jersey Orthopaedic Society, contributing to the broader orthopedic community.
Dr. Schenk is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. His professional affiliations also include the Orthopaedic Trauma Association and AO North America, reflecting his continued engagement with developments in orthopedic trauma and surgical treatment.
