For Dr. Gold, a career in oral and maxillofacial surgery has been shaped by a dedication to clinical excellence, education, and service to his community. As a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon serving patients in Westfield and the surrounding New Jersey communities, Dr. Gold brings extensive surgical training and years of academic experience to his practice.
Dr. Gold began his academic journey at Cornell University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1992. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry in 1997. Following dental school, he completed four years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training through the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City.
His professional career has also included a strong commitment to teaching and advancing the next generation of oral surgeons. Dr. Gold served as a clinical teaching fellow at Columbia University College of Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He later held the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Drexel University College of Medicine, where he was involved in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia. Today, he continues that commitment by supervising and training residents at Newark Beth Israel Hospital in New Jersey.
Dr. Gold remains actively involved in the dental community as a fellow of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Association. He also served as President of the Union County Dental Society from 2014 to 2016 and co-founded the New Jersey Study Club for Interdisciplinary Dentistry.
Outside of the office, Dr. Gold enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. His personal interests include sports, scuba diving, skiing, softball, physical fitness, and traveling.
Through his work as a clinician, educator, and community member, Dr. Gold continues to demonstrate a commitment to his profession and to the patients and communities he serves.
