For Dr. Goldstein, gastroenterology is about more than diagnosing and treating digestive disorders. Whether managing complex gastrointestinal conditions or performing life-saving preventive screenings like colonoscopies, she is committed to providing the highest standard of care while ensuring every patient feels heard, informed, and comfortable throughout their healthcare journey.
Dr. Goldstein earned both her master’s degree in Biophysics and Physiology and her medical degree from Georgetown University before completing her residency in Internal Medicine at North Shore University Hospital in New York. She went on to complete her fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University at Buffalo, Western New York Healthcare Systems. Today, she is board certified in Gastroenterology and Hepatology and remains actively involved in leading professional organizations, including the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Throughout her career, Dr. Goldstein has embraced advances in gastroenterology that have transformed the lives of patients. She is particularly passionate about bringing the latest evidence-based treatments to individuals facing serious gastrointestinal and liver diseases while emphasizing the powerful role preventive medicine plays in reducing the risk of colorectal cancer.
Dr. Goldstein believes that excellent care begins with listening carefully, taking the time to understand each person’s concerns, and making sure patients leave every appointment with a clear understanding of their diagnosis, treatment plan, and next steps. Her philosophy is rooted in building trust through open communication, compassion, and personalized care.
Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Goldstein is an active member of the Clinical Management Committee and Pelvic Health Committee at Hunterdon Medical Center. She is also deeply committed to giving back to her community, volunteering through her synagogue and participating annually with the Jewish Relief Agency to deliver meals to elderly community members.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Goldstein enjoys expressing her creative side through music. A classically trained vocalist, she currently performs with the NJ Women Song choir and is an enthusiastic fan of Broadway musicals. She also treasures spending time traveling and relaxing with her husband and two children.
Dr. Goldstein’s dedication to clinical excellence, preventive care, and meaningful patient relationships has earned her recognition as a 2026 NJ Top Doc.
