NJ Top Docs Presents, Dr Susan Treiser of IVF New Jersey!
Dr. Susan Treiser, IVF New Jersey co-director, and NJ Top Doc, has been recognized for her outstanding work and patient care in the areas of infertility and reproductive medicine. She co-founded IVF New Jersey in 1990 with the goal of creating a fertility practice that combined the best of big-city medicine with the personalized care of a private setting. Today, IVF New Jersey is one of the largest and most successful facilities on the East Coast, and it continues to be at the forefront of in vitro fertilization and egg donation technology, offering the latest in reproductive care, in a warm and compassionate environment. Their success rates are among the highest in the United States.
Dr. Treiser is a board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologist and is co-founder and co-director of IVF New Jersey. She also serves as director of the IVF New Jersey laboratories. She holds positions at St. Peter’s University Hospital, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Princeton Medical Center and, CentraState Healthcare System. One of the only female medical and laboratory directors in her field, Dr. Treiser is known for her caring, competent approach to reproductive care. Under her supervision, the IVF New Jersey embryology laboratory has repeatedly achieved “Accreditation with Distinction.” She is the author of A Woman Doctor’s Guide to Infertility and has been published in Science magazine.
Dr. Treiser has been instrumental in setting up relationships overseas to help make procedures such as egg donation and gestational surrogacy more easily available to international patients. The practice offers concierge service to those patients coming from overseas destinations. Dr. Treiser has been invited to speak at many international medical conferences across the globe.
As the daughter of parents who were Holocaust survivors, Dr. Treiser’s background has led her to be uniquely sensitive to the religious requirements of the orthodox Jewish Community. Dr. Treiser has been a keynote speaker at events in the Lakewood and Highland Park communities in New Jersey, as well as at the A Time National Medical Conference in New York City. IVF New Jersey provides rabbinical supervision.
“A decade ago, egg freezing was limited to young women facing chemotherapy for cancer treatment,” Treiser says. “These days it’s more like an insurance policy. The success rate has risen to somewhere between 30 and 40 percent and is available for healthy women who have decided to postpone motherhood for any number of reasons. Now, even healthy young women are having their eggs harvested as an option for motherhood in the future. There is no right or wrong way to start a family. At IVF New Jersey we’re about choices.”
