Dr. Tuckman’s path to dentistry began at Union College in Schenectady, New York, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in biology. He went on to attend the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, earning his Doctorate in Medical Dentistry in 1986. Following dental school, he completed a one-year general practice residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and spent an additional year in private practice in Boston before joining Clifton Dental Associates.
A strong believer in lifelong learning, Dr. Tuckman has continued to expand his knowledge throughout his career. His additional education has included advanced coursework in cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, and other areas of general dental care. He has trained through programs including Aesthetic Advantage in New York City, the Dawson Academy, and Invisalign workshops, and remains involved in an implant study club. His dedication to continuing education earned him a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Tuckman is also actively involved in the dental community. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Implant Dentistry, Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, New Jersey Dental Association, and Passaic County Dental Society.
While his professional life is centered around dentistry, Dr. Tuckman also enjoys staying active and spending time with his family. A Long Island native, he lives in Morris County with his wife, and together they have three children. Outside the office, he enjoys tennis, basketball, cycling, hiking, and traveling with his family.
