Coastal Spine’s Dr. Mark A. Testaiuti Named 2020 NJ Top Doc

Board Certified Neurosurgeon, Dr. Mark A. Testaiuti of Coastal Spine has been reviewed and approved by NJ Top Docs for 2020. Dr. Testaiuti specializes exclusively in spine care and complex spinal surgery.

After earning his medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine, Dr. Testaiuti completed his residency in Neurological Surgery at the Albert Einstein Medical College/Montefiore Medical Center where he was promoted to chief resident. During his residency, he participated in several years of comprehensive spine specialty training with Orthopedics and Neurosurgery particularly during his junior and chief resident years.

Dr. Testaiuti then joined Cooper Health System’s Neurosurgery Division at UMDNJ-Robert Wood University Hospital. He became an assistant professor of Neurosurgery and was then appointed the Chief of the Division of Neurosurgery. He held this position until entering private practice in 2002. In addition to his administrative responsibilities, his duties also included residency education, spine fellowship training, authoring papers and research.

Notably, Dr. Testaiuti co-founded the Cooper Shriner Spine Fellowship Program. In this capacity, he has fellowship trained both orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons in spine surgery.

Dr. Testaiuti is currently on staff at Jefferson Health in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Virtua and Capital Health, Hopewell. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the North American Spine Society. He is also a Doximity member.
