During this time, Dr. Scillia provided medical coverage for the University of Alabama football team during their 2012 National Championship season, gaining high-level experience in the treatment of elite athletes and mastering advanced surgical techniques across multiple joints. A New Jersey native and proud graduate of Delbarton High School, Dr. Scillia returned home to bring his expertise to the local community.
A prolific contributor to academic medicine, Dr. Scillia has authored over 85 peer-reviewed journal articles and six book chapters. He has delivered more than 100 invited lectures and presented at over 75 national and international sports medicine meetings. His work in developing innovative surgical techniques has earned him recognition as a thought leader in the field.
In addition to his clinical and academic work, Dr. Scillia holds several national and state leadership roles in orthopedic surgery, including President of the New Jersey Orthopedic Society, Program Director at St. Joseph’s University Hospital, and council positions with AAOS, AOSSM, and AANA. Dr. Scillia is currently accepting new patients at his Wayne and Morristown offices.
