Dr. Andrew A. Willis is a sports medicine surgeon specializing in athletic injuries and disorders of the shoulder, knee, elbow, wrist and hand. A double fellowship trained surgeon with board subspecialty Certificate of Added Qualifications in shoulder, knee and hand surgery, Dr. Willis performs advanced arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery, ligament reconstruction and cartilage restoration procedures, as well as fracture care, tendon repair and upper extremity joint replacement surgery.

Dr. Willis graduated Cum Laude from Dartmouth College, where he received a degree in biology. He was a member of three consecutive Ivy League championship football teams in addition to playing varsity lacrosse. He then moved on to Columbia University, where he received his medical degree with honors! His residency in orthopedic surgery was at the Hospital for Special Surgery at Cornell Medical Center in New York City. He completed fellowships at the Mayo Clinic and Hospital for Special Surgery.

Dr. Willis’ dedication and passion to research has earned him many honors. The author of many peer-reviewed and published research studies, his research in the field of shoulder surgery have been recognized and honored internationally.

Dr. Willis is a member of the Fellowship Education program for Atlantic Sports Health at Morristown Medical Center and a member of the orthopedic sports Medicine Fellowship teaching faculty at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. He also serves as the Team Orthopedist for the New York Jets NFL football club and the Head Team Physician for Drew University and the Delbarton School in Morristown.
