Dr. Robert Scheddin has been reviewed and approved as a NJ Top Dentist based on merit for 2026. Dr. Scheddin knows firsthand the impact a confident smile can have. Growing up in Monmouth County, New Jersey, he was self-conscious about his own teeth until a smile transformation changed not only his appearance, but also his confidence and outlook on life. That experience inspired him to pursue dentistry, with the goal of helping others experience the same life-changing results.
Today, Dr. Scheddin combines compassion with advanced clinical expertise to provide personalized, high-quality dental care. Having once been the patient himself, he approaches every individual with empathy, kindness, and a genuine understanding of the emotions that can accompany dental treatment. His mission is simple: help patients regain their confidence and improve their quality of life through exceptional dentistry.
Dr. Scheddin earned his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Rutgers University before completing a Master of Science at Drexel University College of Medicine. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. Dedicated to lifelong learning, he has completed more than 1,000 hours of continuing education and an intensive one-year advanced training program in full-mouth rehabilitation with an emphasis on aesthetic dentistry. Throughout his career, he has trained alongside leading dental mentors in both New York City and New Jersey, continually refining his skills and staying at the forefront of modern dentistry.
As the founder of Smile Studio of Spring Lake, Dr. Scheddin has created a practice centered on comfort, innovation, and personalized care. Every aspect of the patient experience is designed to make individuals feel welcomed, valued, and confident in their treatment. By combining advanced technology with a patient-first philosophy, Dr. Scheddin and his dedicated team strive to build lasting relationships while helping patients achieve healthier, more beautiful smiles.
Dr. Scheddin is also committed to professional excellence through his involvement in several distinguished organizations. He is affiliated with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics, the International Academy for Dental Facial Aesthetics, and has completed advanced training through NYU’s Full Mouth Rehabilitation program.
Outside the office, Dr. Scheddin enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing a variety of hobbies, including weightlifting, snowboarding, traveling, maintaining his saltwater aquarium, and exploring the mountains. His dedication to continuous growth and balance extends beyond dentistry and reflects the same passion and commitment he brings to caring for his patients every day.
