Growing up in Monmouth County, New Jersey, he was an active child involved in a variety of sports. However, a life-changing accident at a baseball camp, which resulted in the fracturing of several of his front teeth, shaped the course of his life. This experience made him acutely aware of the profound impact a smile can have on one’s confidence and appearance. Inspired by his own journey and his father’s career in the dental field, Dr. Segall set his sights on becoming an orthodontist—a decision he has never regretted.
Dr. Segall attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Anthropology. Returning to his home state, he graduated at the top of his class from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (formerly U.M.D.N.J.) with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine. During his time at Rutgers, Dr. Segall was honored with the American Association of Orthodontists Award for his exceptional interest and dedication to the field. Dr. Segall’s dedication to orthodontics led him back to Michigan, where he completed an intensive orthodontic program at the University of Detroit Mercy, earning both a certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science degree.
In addition to his academic and clinical accomplishments, Dr. Segall remains committed to lifelong learning, holding memberships in several organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, the New Jersey Association of Orthodontists, the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the New Jersey Dental Association. Furthermore, to provide the highest standard of care to his patients, Dr. Segall achieved certification as a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics—an honor that reflects his advanced training and commitment to excellence.
