Dr. Lena L. Merjanian has been reviewed and approved based on merit by NJ Top Docs for 2025.

Dr. Merjanian is a board-certified OB/GYN with lifelong ties to New Jersey, where she was born and raised in Bergen County. She graduated summa cum laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Bachelor of Science and went on to earn her medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2004. She completed her residency at the same institution, serving as administrative chief resident.

In 2008, Dr. Merjanian joined Rutgers Health, the faculty practice of the medical school, where she has been providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care. Her clinical interests include adolescent gynecology, contraception management, abnormal pap smears, endometriosis, abnormal uterine bleeding, preventive care, and pregnancy and delivery.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Merjanian is deeply involved in medical education and currently serves as the OB/GYN Clerkship Director at Rutgers RWJMS. She has received numerous awards recognizing her commitment to humanism and excellence in teaching both medical students and residents.
