In 2003, with encouragement from his wife, Dr. Bilof left his successful vascular practice to retrain in bariatrics—an uncommon move at the time. He founded Garden State Bariatrics in April 2007, aiming to make a lasting difference in the lives of his patients.
Dr. Bilof is a respected leader in his field, having served as President of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons (ASMBS) from 2014 to 2016. He has earned numerous accolades, including designation as a Center of Excellence surgeon, recognition as a Top Surgeon by the Consumers’ Research Council of America. Dr. Bilof has also held key positions at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and Deborah Heart and Lung Center.
