Dr. Daniel Fox, NJ Top Doc 2012, is a Board Certified Attending Orthopedic Surgeon at Community Medical Center in Toms River, New Jersey.He is both a Fellow of The American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and The American College of Surgeons.He is also a Fellow in The American College of Sports Medicine, The American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, and The Arthroscopy Association of North America.

Dr. Fox did his medical training at New Jersey Medical School (UMDNJ), St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, Albert Einstein Affiliated Medical School Hospitals-Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center, The Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopedic Institute (an Affiliate of NYU Medical School), and the University of Florida (Florida Gators).
Dr. Fox in 2005 was the Official Team Physician for the New Jersey X-treme Professional Indoor Arena Football Team.He was an Assistant Team Physician for the University of Florida Gators, the Head Team Physician for 10 years for the NY/NJ Governor’s Bowl Football Classic, and the Official Team Doctor for the National High School Football All Star Classic in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Fox in 2007 was named the Nike New Jersey Sports Doctor of the Year.And in 2002 Dr. Fox was named as One of America’s Top Surgeons in the Guide to America’s Top Surgeons for Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Fox is an Alternate Delegate in the Ocean County Medical Society.He is a member of The American Medical Association, The New Jersey Medical Society, The New Jersey Orthopedic Society, and was the Dover Township Police Orthopedic Surgeon in the past.In addition, Dr. Fox was a member of the Lake Placid Sports Medicine Society for the Winter Olympics and has been a member of the Eastern Orthopedic Association as well as a member of the Dover Township Board of Health.
Dr. Fox specializes in all aspects of orthopedic surgery and in sports medicine and sports injuries.He has special interests in shoulders, knees, elbows, wrists, and hands.In addition to Sports Medicine, he also performs partial and total knee joint replacements for arthritis.A special interest of Dr. Fox includes patellofemoral problems including patellofemoral reconstructions, Fulkerson osteotomies, and patellofemoral resurfacing procedures.He also sees all types of trauma, such as fractures as well as back and neck injuries.Dr. Fox also specializes in Workers’ Compensation and Motor Vehicle injuries.He performs his surgeries at both Community Medical Center and Physicians’ Surgicenter located in Toms River, as well as Metropolitan Surgical Institute Surgicenter in South Amboy, New Jersey and Milburn and Wayne Surgicenters located also in New Jersey.
“Some of the surgical techniques I perform include performing cartilage transplantation surgery as well as mini invasive partial knee replacement surgery.Both are performed on the young to middle age patients as an alternative to them undergoing a total knee replacement.In addition, I perform endoscopic carpal tunnel surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome rather than having the patient have large incisions.I also perform all types of arthroscopic procedures for the shoulder, knee, wrist, and ankle.Some of these procedures include arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs, labral repairs, ACL and PCL reconstructions, as well as meniscal repairs and patellofemoral problems both in teenagers and adults.”
