Glen Tonnessen MD, MMM, FACC, FSCAI, DABVLM
Dr. Glen Tonnessen is a seasoned cardiologist and the Managing Director of The Vein Institute. With more than 30 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine and over a decade specializing in venous disease, Dr. Tonnessen brings deep clinical insight and a compassionate approach to patient care. He completed his residency in internal medicine at St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey, followed by fellowship training in cardiovascular medicine through Seton Hall University. Board-certified in both cardiovascular disease and vascular medicine, Dr. Tonnessen is recognized for his comprehensive expertise in treating a wide range of circulatory conditions.
Dr. Tonnessen is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI), and a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine (ABVLM). He also holds a Master of Medical Management degree from Carnegie Mellon University and is the founder of The Vein Institute of Hunterdon.
