Dr. Paul Liva is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon at Hackensack Eye Care Center, providing eye care for patients of all ages. His practice encompasses routine vision care as well as the diagnosis and treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, retinal conditions, and other eye health concerns.

Dr. Liva earned his medical degree from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara Medical School and completed his ophthalmology residency at UMDNJ Hackensack Medical Center, followed by fellowship training at UMDNJ. He provides cataract surgery and lens implants along with comprehensive evaluations for conditions including retinal detachment, age-related macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.

Dr. Liva is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, New Jersey Medical Society, and Bergen County Medical Society.
