Dr. Stephen Uretsky is a comprehensive ophthalmologist, cataract surgeon, and the founder and Medical Director of Coastal Jersey Eye Center. Since establishing the practice in 1983, he has provided generations of South Jersey patients with personalized care for routine and complex eye conditions.

Dr. Uretsky earned his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, completed an internal medicine internship at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital of Boston, and pursued ophthalmology residency training at the Eye and Ear Hospital of Pittsburgh. His clinical expertise includes cataract surgery and advanced lens implants, glaucoma, retinal conditions, and dry eye care.

Throughout his career, Dr. Uretsky has held leadership roles in ophthalmology, including serving as Chief of Ophthalmology at Shore Medical Center and Founder and Past-President of the Jersey Shore Ambulatory Surgery Center. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
