Our Doctors

Frank P. Femino, MD

Dr. Femino is a board-certified orthopedist and specializes in adult reconstructive surgery and joint replacement. Chief of Orthopaedics at Clara Maass Medical Center, Dr. Femino has performed more than 5000 joint replacement surgeries, primarily of the hip and knee.
Dr. Femino has been recognized for his expertise in performing minimally invasive procedures, resulting in quicker recovery and less pain. His state-of-the-art surgical techniques include outpatient minimally invasive knee replacement.
A graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Dr. Femino ranked first in his class with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also received numerous awards for academic excellence. He received his MD from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers) where he went on to complete a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery. He then completed a fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery and joint replacement at the Rothman Institute, University of Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
Dr. Femino is a fellow of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the Medical Society of New Jersey, and Essex County Medical Society.
Dr. Femino is the Medical Director of the Orthopaedic Joint Institute at Clara Maass Medical Center. As a result of his leadership, the institution has had excellent clinical outcomes. Patients experience a very quick recovery with minimal pain. Dr. Femino has been implementing the use of the latest techniques and medical technology to optimize the patient’s experience and return to normal activities.

Stephen A. Ducey, MD

Dr. Ducey is a board-certified orthopedist and specializes in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee, helping both professional athletes and weekend warriors regain mobility and performance. His expertise includes arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction.
Renowned for his skill in minimally invasive procedures, Dr. Ducey is recognized for achieving faster recovery times and reduced post-surgical discomfort for his patients. He also specializes in both anatomic and reverse shoulder arthroplasty, as well as a wide range of wrist and hand procedures.

Anthony Parks, Jr., MD

Dr. Parks is a board-certified orthopedic specialist in General Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his residency at Stony Brook University in New York.
Dr. Parks further specialized in Sports Medicine with a fellowship at the Hughston Clinic in Columbus, Georgia. He is dedicated to providing expert care for musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries.

  • Hip and Knee Replacement
    • Dr. Femino has been recognized for his expertise in performing the most current and innovative hip and knee surgeries. His boutique-style practice favors the patient’s time and concerns in all aspects of care. Procedures include: knee replacement, partial and total; knee arthroscopy; hip replacement; stem cell and PRP injections for treatment of arthritis and tendonitis, and viscosupplementation (gel injections) for conservative treatment of arthritis of the knee.
  • Shoulder and Knee Arthroscopy
    • Dr. Ducey specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the knee, hip and shoulder. He also performs leading-edge shoulder replacement surgery. Some of the surgeries he performs are: minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures of both the knees and shoulders. His area of expertise includes arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, shoulder instability surgery, shoulder replacement surgery, including reverse total shoulder arthroplasty, hip arthroscopy, anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction cartilage surgery and patellofemoral realignment.

Elimination of pain and restoring an independent lifestyle is the number one goal of the practice. Many patients who come through our doors have lived with pain for a long period of time, so finding the best way to alleviate pain becomes the focus.

Surgery is considered after more conservative treatments have been exhausted. We believe that preparation for surgery is key to a speedy recovery.
