Jeffrey Kornitzer, MD
Dr. Jeffrey Kornitzer is an attending Child Neurologist at the New Jersey Pediatric Neuroscience Institute (NJPNI). He is also affiliated with St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital and St. Clare’s Hospital in New Jersey, and serves as an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Rutgers–New Jersey Medical School.
Dr. Kornitzer earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from The College of New Jersey as part of a selective seven-year B.S./M.D. program. He went on to complete both his medical degree and residency in Pediatric Neurology at UMDNJ–New Jersey Medical School (now Rutgers). Following residency, he completed a fellowship in Child Neurology at the same institution. During his training, he received the Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching and was inducted into the Arnold P. Gold Foundation for humanism in medicine.
An accomplished author and researcher, Dr. Kornitzer co-authored five chapters in McGraw-Hill’s Neurology Board Review and wrote the chapter on Complementary and Alternative Medicine in Navigating the Medical Maze: A Guide for Parents of Children with Autism. His research has been published in over a dozen peer-reviewed journals, with his work on ADHD featured in Neurology Advisor and ADDitude Magazine.
Dr. Kornitzer provides compassionate, evidence-based care for children and adolescents with a wide range of neurological conditions, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, tics, seizures, headaches, concussions, and autonomic disorders such as fainting and syncope. His approach combines advanced diagnostic tools with a multidisciplinary, whole-child philosophy to uncover root causes and develop personalized treatment plans.
