Janti Chaaban, MD
Dr. Janti Chaaban is a board-certified pediatric neurologist with specialized training in epilepsy and a passion for helping children and families navigate complex neurological conditions. She is pleased to care for patients at New Jersey Pediatric Neuroscience Institute’s Hamilton location, where both in-office and telehealth appointments are available.
Dr. Chaaban earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from William Paterson University before attending the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, followed by a year as Pediatric Chief Resident. She then remained at Rutgers to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Neurology before joining the pediatric neurology faculty at Children’s Hospital Oakland in California. Her dedication to epilepsy care led her to pursue additional fellowship training in Clinical Epilepsy at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
Throughout her career, Dr. Chaaban has combined clinical expertise with a strong commitment to patient and family education. Early experiences serving as a translator for family members during medical appointments helped shape her belief that clear communication is essential to exceptional care.
Dr. Chaaban has held faculty appointments at Saint Peter’s University Hospital and Hackensack Meridian Health’s Jersey Shore University Medical Center, and has been recognized for Excellence in Residency Teaching by the Saint Peter’s Pediatric Residency Program. She is an active member of the Child Neurology Society, the American Academy of Neurology, and the American Epilepsy Society.
At New Jersey Pediatric Neuroscience Institute, Dr. Chaaban works alongside a multidisciplinary team of specialists, providing comprehensive, coordinated care designed to support each child’s unique needs and help families feel confident throughout their healthcare journey.
