Gastroenterology Associates of New Jersey (GANJ) is an integrated group practice comprised of a team of highly skilled gastroenterologists. As part of our dedication to complete care, our board certified physicians and professional staff will effectively evaluate, diagnose and treat acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions and diseases.
With locations throughout northern & central New Jersey, our multidisciplinary practice offers coordinated and comprehensive services with an emphasis on personalized care for patients of all ages and activity levels. In addition, our practice is affiliated with five ambulatory surgery centers where our advanced procedures are performed in a warm, comfortable environment on an outpatient basis.

Aditi Chhada, MD
Dr. Aditi Chhada is a member of Hackensack Gastroenterology Associates. Dr. Chhada has trained in diverse settings including city hospitals, veteran’s hospitals, and private academic centers, which has allowed her to gain a special knowledge and appreciation for the needs of all patients.
Dr. Chhada’s clinical interests encompass general gastroenterology and hepatology. This includes screening and prevention of colorectal cancer, esophageal motility disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, nutrition, cirrhosis, and women’ s health issues.
Steven Leibowitz, MD
Dr. Steven Leibowitz is a member of Hackensack Gastroenterology Associates. Affiliated with Hackensack University Medical Center, the group utilizes the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic modalities in managing inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal and GI malignancies, peptic and motility disorders and hepatobiliary diseases.
A graduate of Georgetown University Medical School and trained at Cornell University-North Shore University Hospital and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, Dr. Leibowitz prides himself on blending his expertise with quality time in providing care for his patients.
Richard Lin, MD
Dr. Richard Lin is board certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology. He has published abstracts in palliative metallic stenting as well as inflammation’s role in colon cancer. Dr. Lin is a member of Hackensack Gastroenterology Associates.
While Dr. Lin treats a wide variety of gastrointestinal and liver conditions, including advanced biliary endoscopy, metallic stenting and capsule endoscopy, he has a particular interest in colon cancer as well as Asian American gastrointestinal issues including stomach cancer and Hepatitis B.
George Nikias, MD
Dr. George Nikias is a member of Hackensack Gastroenterology Associates. His areas of expertise include advanced endoscopy, including ERCP and Endoscopic Ultrasound with Fine Needle Aspiration as well as the management of complex liver disease. Eric Rosendorf, MD
Dr. Eric Rosendorf is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He is a member of Hackensack Gastroenterology Associates.
Dr. Rosendorf provides comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic care within the field of Gastroenterology, including interests in colorectal cancer screening, acid reflux and acid related disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, liver and pancreatic diseases. He has extensive experience with many diagnostic endoscopic procedures including upper endoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy with polyp removal and ERCP.
