Dr. Gohel is experienced in offering a wide variety of medical services for your entire family. She is board certified in internal and geriatric medicine. She specializes in diagnosing and managing acute and chronic illnesses. Dr. Gohel has over 20 years of experience and is committed to provide each and every patient individualized care.
Her office is conveniently located in Freehold right off of route 537, just minutes away from Freehold Raceway Mall. She sees patients by appointment on Monday thru Friday from 9-5 in which we also happily welcome walk in patients.
Dr. Rekha Gohel
Dr. Rekha Gohel is a Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. She received her medical degree from M. P. Shah Medical College, India and completed her Internal Medicine residency and Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Flushing, New York.
She has over 20 years experience in providing diagnostic, therapeutic & preventive medical services to geriatric and adult population, taking care of patients in office, hospital, nursing homes, sub-acute rehabilitation and assisted living facilities. She has also worked as a Geriatric Faculty for Internal Medicine Residency Program at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.
Currently, Dr. Rekha Gohel is a medical director at The Jewish Home for Rehabilitation & Nursing where she is in charge of 150 bed long term & sub-acute patients. Her responsibilities include evaluating and setting medical standards and protocols as well as quality assurance and assessment of performance standard.
She is involved in clinical trials specializing in Alzheimer’s dementia as well as IDEAS – a major research study to demonstrate value of PET scans in Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis.
In addition, Dr. Gohel is the team medical director at VNA health group providing care for hospice and palliative care patients.
