Lawrence V. Najarian, MD
Lawrence V. Najarian, MD is a second generation, Armenian American and is the founder and medical director of the Bedminster Eye and Laser Center in Bedminster, New Jersey.
Dr. Najarian is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has served Bedminster and surrounding communities for over to 30 years. He attended college at The John Hopkins University, medical school at University of Pennsylvania and completed his residency in ophthalmology at New York University-Bellevue Medical Center. He received special training at Moorsfield Eye Hospital in London and has published several medical articles. After completing a fellowship in ocular immunology at Emory University, he joined the faculty of both New York University and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary where he currently teaches the residents in training.
Dr. Najarian has served as President of the Armenian American Health Professional Organization (AAHPO) since 2006 and has also served on the Board of the Armenian Eye Care Project. Through these organizations he has participated in multiple medical missions.
Dr. Najarian is married and the proud father of three adult children. Both Dr. Najarian and his son are Eagle Scouts. For pleasure he enjoys being with his family, hiking, camping, kayaking and Scuba diving (PADI certified).
