Ocean Spine and Pain

About Us

If you or someone you love suffers from spine problems, then you know how pain can diminish your quality of life. Orthopedic spine surgeon, Dr. Justin Kubeck, specializes in helping people get their lives back. He calls his approach to spine care the Precision Procedure and uses it to determine how best a patient’s pain can be relieved. The Precision Procedure is Dr. Kubeck’s signature approach to spinal surgery that targets the patient’s pathology using a laser-guided focus while sparing normal tissue. This approach ultimately leads to less postoperative pain and a quicker recovery. Additionally, the Precision Procedure allows many surgical approaches to be performed on an outpatient basis in surgery centers.

Our Doctor

Dr. Justin P. Kubeck

Dr. Justin Kubeck is a highly respected spine surgeon known for his patient-centered approach to spinal care. Contrary to the common assumption that spine surgeons are focused solely on performing surgeries, Dr. Kubeck emphasizes a broader mission—alleviating pain. “When people hear you’re a spine surgeon, they think you’re in the business of operating, but that’s just not accurate,” Dr. Kubeck explains.

His approach to care is comprehensive, considering medication, therapy, and surgery only when absolutely necessary. Each patient’s treatment plan is personalized through what Dr. Kubeck calls his Precision Procedure, a methodical process designed to identify the best treatment path. “We determine the problem and then lay out the options together,” Dr. Kubeck says, ensuring patients feel involved and empowered in their care.

Dr. Kubeck also prioritizes alleviating fear, recognizing that many patients are not only in pain but also afraid—of the pain, of surgery, and of their potential inability to return to normal life. His transparency and patient engagement foster trust, creating an environment where healing can begin.

Ultimately, Dr. Kubeck wants his patients to leave their first visit with one takeaway: hope. “I want my patients to know that they CAN get their lives back and live without pain,” he says.
