Dr. Benjamin Yam
Benjamin Yam, MD, DABR, is a dual Board Certified Physician in both Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology. Dr. Yam has been engaged in research and education and has authored numerous textbook chapters and medical journal articles, including an article on the utility of vein screening. He has given presentations at over 25 national meetings on a variety of topics.
Dr. Yam’s interest in a career dedicated to the treatment of venous insufficiency began during his radiological training, where he focused on minimally invasive image-guided procedures to treat complex disease states traditionally addressed by invasive surgical methods
As a Board Certified Interventional Radiologist, Dr. Yam specializes in minimally invasive endovenous techniques to provide therapies in the office with accelerated recovery times. He uses such techniques to safely and effectively provide targeted therapies in the office without the need for large surgical incisions, resulting in optimal results. In patients with symptomatic varicose veins, these minimally invasive treatments can provide prompt relief of symptoms and aesthetic improvement, positively impacting self-image and daily function.
