The orthopedic specialists at the Center for Advanced Sports Medicine Knee and Shoulder are fellowship-trained physicians who are Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. They specialize in both the nonoperative and surgical treatment of athletes of all levels ranging from the professional to the weekend warrior. The physicians routinely perform minimally invasive, state-of-the-art arthroscopic procedures of the knee, shoulder, elbow, and ankle.

Andrew S. Levy, M.D.
Dr Andrew Levy is a board Certified orthopedic surgeon who completed his fellowship training in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at Duke University. He has additional focus on cartilage restoration and Transplantation. His practice represents something truly unique in America these days. He has chosen to remain a solo practitioner in order to apply personalized focus cutting edge care for his patients. An appointment at the Center For Advanced Sports Medicine Knee and Shoulder is therefore not just another number in a well oiled machine.
Dr Levy routinely performs common surgeries of the shoulder such as labral repair, stabilizations, rotator cuff repairs and joint Replacement. He also focuses on the complex problems of nerve compression, scapular winging and is willing to take on failed shoulder surgeries from others. Consequently he frequently performs surgeries that others don’t such as arthroscopic nerve decompressions at the shoulder. When Andrew Levy says he is doing your surgery, Andrew Levy is doing your surgery.
When it comes to knees, Dr Levy is an active member of the international cartilage repair society. He performs numerous cartilage and knee saving procedures, but does partial joint replacements so you can keep all the good parts of your knee and replace only the damaged portion. He has helped pioneer less invasive treatments for arthritis such as subchondroplasty and is investigating the uses of in office amniotic membrane injections. Dr Levy is not just a clinician determined to remain in solo practice he is a researcher and teacher, participating in various FDA trials of cutting edge new cartilage and arthritis treatment to prevent total joint replacement.
