Dr. Layne earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 1989. He completed both his internship and residency training at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center before advancing his oncology training through fellowship education at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Throughout his career, he has remained dedicated to staying at the forefront of cancer treatment and emerging therapies.

Board-certified in Medical Oncology through the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Layne is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the International Oncology Network. He is also affiliated with several respected medical institutions, including Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, St. Michael’s Medical Center, and East Orange General Hospital.

Known for his dedication, clinical excellence, and genuine concern for his patients, Dr. Layne believes that effective cancer care begins with listening, education, and trust.
