Dr. Charita Y. Csiky
For Dr. Charita Csiky, caring for children is about more than treating an illness. It is about building lasting relationships with patients and their families and being there as children grow from infancy through young adulthood. She believes the best pediatric care is a partnership between the pediatrician, child, and parents, built on open communication, understanding, and mutual trust.
Dr. Csiky provides comprehensive pediatric care, from routine well-child visits and preventive care to the evaluation and treatment of a wide range of childhood illnesses and conditions. She takes the time to listen closely to parents and address their concerns, believing that a parent’s instincts and observations can be an important part of understanding a child’s health.
Her areas of care include asthma, bronchiolitis, skin and soft tissue infections, COVID-19, dehydration and electrolyte disturbances, diabetes, fever in infants and children, gastroenteritis, Kawasaki disease, urinary tract infections, and other common pediatric conditions. She also provides childhood vaccinations, well visits, and well-baby, child, and adolescent examinations.
Charita Y. Csiky, MD
When asked how her patients would describe her, Dr. Csiky shares that they have called her personable and dedicated, noting that she takes the time to thoroughly investigate concerns and “never leaves a stone unturned.” She believes that when a parent feels something may be wrong, it is important to listen and take that concern seriously.
Preventive care is another important part of her philosophy. Dr. Csiky encourages families to stay consistent with well-child visits so she can monitor a child’s growth, development, and overall health while helping identify potential concerns early and provide guidance to support lifelong wellness.
Originally born in Nicosia, Cyprus, Dr. Csiky eventually made New Jersey her home after marrying a New Jersey native. She has developed a deep appreciation for the state and especially enjoys raising a family in a place where she can experience the changing seasons and everything New Jersey has to offer.
For Dr. Csiky, being a pediatrician means developing relationships that extend beyond individual appointments and helping families feel confident and supported throughout every stage of their child’s development.
