Ralph Reilly, DMD
The Advanced Dentistry team in central New Jersey is led by Dr. Ralph Reilly, one of the best-trained and most highly regarded dentists in the country. Dr. Reilly is an international speaker and trainer, sought out for his knowledge in dental implant techniques and other advanced cosmetic and restorative procedures. His book, This Won’t Hurt a Bit: The Smart Consumer’s Guide to Dentistry, helps patients understand modern dentistry and eases their anxiety around dental appointments.
Dr. Reilly graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers). He was one of the first dentists certified by the state of New Jersey to perform sedation dentistry. He completed programs at and served as a Senior Clinical Instructor at several prestigious postgraduate programs.
Dr. Reilly likes to stay on the cutting edge of dentistry so he can offer his patients the latest treatment techniques. For example, he was one of the first dentists in central New Jersey to offer the All-on-4® dental implant technique, which involves attaching a complete arch of replacement teeth to four implants.
Dr. Reilly especially enjoys using his world-class skills to help patients whose cases have been rejected by other dentists as too challenging. It thrills him to be able to change patients’ lives by restoring the appearance and functionality of their smiles. Root canals have a bad reputation. Our comfort care dentistry makes all procedures pain-free and relaxing.
A root canal can solve issues of decay deep within a tooth or chipped/fractured teeth. Your dentist will recommend a root canal as a way to save your tooth as an alternative to an extraction. During a root canal, your dentist will enter the tooth root through the enamel and clean out the infected area. Completing a root canal may require one to two office visits. - Extractions
Our goal is always to preserve existing teeth. When that is not possible, an extraction may be necessary.
An extraction may be necessary if a tooth is excessively damaged or decayed. Decaying teeth present a risk for infection. For younger patients, an extraction may be necessary to prepare for orthodontia. Advanced Dentistry’s comfort care dentistry options help our patients feel relaxed through the process.

I’ve had nothing but excellent service from Dr. Reilly. Every visit is pleasant, pain-free, and personal. Everyone on staff remembers me each time I come in, they ask about my kids, and they really care about patients. Dr. Really is the best there is, and I highly recommend him.

The entire staff is welcoming, professional, and focused on patient care. I was with my husband, who was getting a root canal, and asked for an appointment for a cleaning, thinking it would be at a time in the future. Much to my amazement, the staff was able to get me in the same time my hubs had his appointment. Joyce the hygienist was wonderful and made sure I was comfortable during the length of my cleaning. Dr. Reilly was personable, knowledgeable, and kept both my hubs and myself at ease with his friendly & calm demeanor. My husband raved about this practice prior to my visit, so I thought I should give them a try. I am very happy that I did! Great practice!
