For over 25 years, she served as co-founder and Laboratory Director of IVF New Jersey, a role in which she helped thousands of families realize their dreams of parenthood. Now a valued member of the esteemed team at Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey (RMANJ), Dr. Treiser continues to bring her vast expertise and compassionate care to patients across the region.
Her academic background reflects a deep commitment to science and medicine. Dr. Treiser earned her Bachelor of Science in Genetics from McGill University before pursuing both a PhD in Pharmacology and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. She began her clinical training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Georgetown before completing her residency at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and a highly competitive fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City.
In 1990, Dr. Treiser co-founded IVF New Jersey alongside Dr. Michael Darder. As Laboratory Director, she led the embryology team to consistent success, earning repeated “Accreditation with Distinction” honors—an elite recognition in the field. Her work in the lab was matched by her thought leadership outside of it. In 2005, Dr. Treiser founded the practice’s egg freezing program, empowering women to preserve their fertility and expand their reproductive choices. Her special interests include third-party reproduction, gestational surrogacy, egg donation, and the evolving field of reproductive ethics. These areas remain central to her clinical focus and scholarly contributions.
A respected voice in her specialty, Dr. Treiser is a published author in Science Magazine, the co-recipient of the 2000 Zenith Award from RESOLVE’s New Jersey chapter, and was named a “Top Doctor” by New York Magazine in 2008. She is also the author of A Woman Doctor’s Guide to Infertility and an invited speaker at the International Seminar of Reproductive Ethics Symposium, where she shares insights into the ethical considerations shaping modern fertility care.
Despite her impressive professional accomplishments, Dr. Treiser speaks most fondly about the personal experiences that have shaped her career. “My two most wonderful accomplishments during medical/graduate school were giving birth to my two sons,” she reminisces. “The joy I felt being a mother and helping other women accomplish that goal became my passion,” says Dr. Treiser. “I love being a part of the happiest moment in a family’s life – the birth of their babies.”
