A native of Wayne, New Jersey, Dr. Cosmi earned his undergraduate degree in classics and biology from Rutgers College, graduating with honors and election to Phi Beta Kappa.
Dr. Cosmi attended New Jersey Medical School in Newark, receiving multiple scholarships and being elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed his residency in internal medicine at New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital, where he served as chief medical resident. He is board certified in internal medicine.
Continuing his training at NYU, Dr. Cosmi completed a cardiology fellowship, earning fellow of the year honors twice and publishing several scientific papers in echocardiography and myocardial infarction. He then finished an interventional cardiology fellowship and is board certified in both general and interventional cardiology.
With 13 years of practice in Morristown, Dr. Cosmi has received numerous accolades, including New Jersey Monthly Top Doctors for the past decade, Castle Connolly Top Doctors, and New Jersey Top Docs. He specializes in both general and interventional cardiology at Morristown Medical Center, with particular interests in preventive cardiology, valvular heart disease, and coronary artery disease.
