Dr. Brian J Bauer
Brian Joseph Bauer, M.D. has been practicing orthopedic surgery at Holy Name Medical Center for the past 23 years. Dr. Bauer has served as chief of the orthopedic surgery department, vice-president of the medical staff, and president of the medical staff over this time. His practice is one of the busiest practices in Bergen County, and it includes joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery, and pediatric orthopedic care, utilizing the most advanced medical techniques.
The American Board of Orthopedic Surgery has re-certified Dr. Bauer until 2028. He has memberships in the all the major orthopedic societies in the country, including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and the New Jersey Orthopedic Association.
Initially, Dr. Bauer finished his orthopedic residency at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, and then moved to Teaneck, New Jersey. He has served since then, and his volunteer activities include multiple medical missions to Latin America over the past fifteen years. He has visited Tela, Honduras, ten times, and has operated on multiple children. In 2005, Dr. Bauer received the Surgery Award from the Healing the Children Foundation for his care of deformed children. He is dedicated to providing all of his patients – young and old – with exceptional orthopedic care and a personable approach.
